The 2011 Sierra 1500 comes with five trim levels (Work Truck, SL, SLE, XFE and SLT) and three cab sizes (Regular, Extended and Crew). All trim levels come in both two wheel drive and four wheel drive. The available packages help you personalize your truck: All-Terrain Package, Z71 Off-Road Suspension Package and Chrome Essentials Package.
The 2011 Sierra 2500 Heavy Duty comes with three trim levels (Work Truck, SLE and SLT) and three cab sizes (Regular, Extended and Crew). When it comes down to it, you buy a Heavy Duty pickup to haul or trailer a lot of weight. GMC HD trucks offer a maximum of 13,000 pounds of conventional trailer capacity, a maximum of 17,800 pounds of 5-wheel trailering capacity and a maximum of 4,192 pounds of payload capacity.
Fuel Economy
With Active Fuel Management technology, the Sierra 1500 with a 5.3L V8 engine delivers over 300hp while giving you an EPA-estimated mpg 15 city/21 highway fuel economy.
With improvements ranging from software updates on the Allison transmission to lower idle speeds, to improved aerodynamics and an increase in the size of our fuel tank, GMC engineered every feature to deliver a more fuel efficient Sierra HD. And it shows, based on GM testing, the Duramax Diesel can provide a highway mileage range up to 680 miles on a single tank of fuel.
